As per the trends of previous years, 48 marks for a general category student is too low to be qualified to any of the institutes that admits students via the PAT exam. Last years' trends saw the cutoff for general category student in the 1st round of counselling at 130 marks, the lowest being 115. Apologies, the information found in the Internet was misinterpreted, it mentioned ranks and not marks. 48 marks can be qualifiable, as per previous trends in the first Round itself in AEC itself with any branch of choice.

There are higher chances of you getting through Electrical and Mechanical as per trends of last year than Computer Science and Civil, but it all depends on this year's cutoff.
