With a rank of around 39,000, it becomes difficult to secure a seat in the NIT's. EWS is 10% reservation in the general category and thus you need a rank of something which is not more than 10,000 to secure a seat in the NIT's under the EWS category. But, one thing to keep in mind is that scores and ranks vary each year with difficulty level of the question paper and availability of seats.
