As per your rank you have fair chances to get into nits. The branches that you would get will be lower for sure. So you should go for home state nit rather than other state nit . The nits like Jamshedpur, durgapur, Silchar, mizoram, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Agartala, sringar is approachable.

Although various factors are considered while deciding the cut offs like number of candidates appearing in the examination, number of vacant seats in college previous years cut offs.
