A rank of 6 lakh in the common rank list and a rank of 58000 is a low rank for universities such as NITs or other high ranked institutions. Due to the increasing competition it would be tough to get into top courses such as computer science engineering or electrical and electronics engineering. Hence I would suggest you to look at private institutions as well in order to get into courses such as these.

However, since you mention that you belong to sc category, the chances of you getting into a top course at good universities are significantly higher. I would suggest some universities over here.
