261 is quite a low marks for ad category to get any chance in Government MBBS or BDS colleges. The cutoffs ranges from 470-480.And this year there are high chances that the cutoffs will increase .So getting a government college is difficult. You can try for private colleges if you want.

Hey Sherin,

Congratulations your daughter has qualified NEET 2019.

At 261 marks it's hard for her to get MBBS in Any Government Medical Colleges. But if you are okay with it then Private Medical Colleges are options available. SC will be Helpful to get Other course for seems tough to get MBBS in Government College.

Hey Sir, Your daughter has scored 261 marks in NEET 2019 and you also belong from SC Category. Really that will be very helpful to you while taking admission in Government Funding Technical Institute (GFTI) as some special seats are being reserved for each and every special reserved category. With these marks, it will be difficult for her for getting admission in any government college. But rather on asking colleges you should see colleges first in your state as there will she also get a seat in state quota too and that will be very helpful for her.

I would rather suggest you check the colleges available for you at these marks at College Predictor at Careers 360 only and it will be very helpful for you while getting a seat there. It will be very helpful for you as it will show the best colleges available for you according to your category and even home state rank.

Hello,
It is difficult to predict exactly as ypu have not mentioned your category. However generally, with SC category and 261 marks, your chances of getting a decent government college in your state through state quota(85%) are negligible.
However you might get some good private medical college in your state through state quota.
As the admission to medical colleges based on NEET is given unsed All India Quota(15%) and state quota(85%).

However cutoffs change every year depending upon level of toughness of exam. So hope for the best and follow the counselling process.
