Chances for your daughter to get admission in an IIT is a bit less, if you're from General category. But, with a rank of 6298, she has a very good chance to get admission in an NIT/IIIT. Now, about the course, she has to choose the course that she wants. Mostly, she will be able to get any course in your homestate NIT, under HS quota. So, either let me know your state or check the cutoff for your homestate NIT to know about that. Choose a course according to her interest. you can check the cutoff here.
