Its really awesome that you have already made a backup plan for your life which tells how serious you are for you career. So, as you said that you to get into IITs. In IITs you can pursue engineering (B.tech) which is of 4 year duration. IITs have big playground and great facilities for sports.Big tournaments are organised and you can show case your talent there and in the meantime you can focus on your career too. But can join any local club and play too but you cant manage it daily because you will have to attend classes too. So, first focus on getting into IITs, secure your career there and keep playing cricket as hobby in the meantime.
