If your dream is to become a doctor and study in a government medical college, you need to:

1. Qualify NEET – National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) is mandatory for MBBS admission.

2. Score High – Aim for 600+ marks to secure a government college seat, especially in competitive states.

3. Choose the Right College – Research AIIMS, GMCs, and top government medical colleges in your state.

4. Stay Consistent – Focus on NCERT books, mock tests, and previous year question papers.

Hard work and dedication will help you achieve your dream!

hi ,

to secure NEET score in government medical college the score is based on multiple factors such as category (general , OBC , SC , ST , EWS ) and the all india quota AIQ .

Here  is the approximate estimation of the scores that to need to get to pursue a government medical college.

for AIQ - 15% SEATS

GENERAL - minimum score - 620+

OBC - minimum score - 610 +

EWS - minimum score - 610+

SC - minimum score - 500+

ST - minimum score 450 +

here is a takeaway you can consider -

  • for AIIMS and top government medical  colleges - 660 +  for general , for OBC - 640+ .
  • for average government medical college - 600+ for general , for OBC - 580+
  • for SC/ST candidates - 450-550+ usually sufficient for state quota .
  • state cut-offs may vary annually based on different factors .

hope this helps
