EWS certificate are generally use for waving the high college fees and for that process you should have proper and valid certificate. So as you have mentioned that you have a one year of validity EWS certificate of Maharashtra state than you can definitely use it for the admission process and if it is not valid till the date it has been asked for than simply you have to renew it or else you will not be able to claim the benefits of it.
