Now if your fathers name is changed then there is a discrepancy and legally the person changes on change in name. So it may cause some problems. Although, I can recommend you to visit your DM Office and get this discussed with the officials there. Sometimes, for such emergency discrepancy, DM attests the copy and certify that its a mistake and the person is a bonafide to its exhibits. So you can visit the DM office and get it discussed, they can guide you out with more specific procedures to rectify it.
