See , it never matters that you live where , or you are settled where. what matters is always from where you finished you 12th degree/highschool degree.

Because in any exams they ask for domicile . And domicile means this only, place from where you comleted your 12th.

So as you are from tamil nadu, but you have completed 12th from telangana , so your home state will be telangana and for nit trichy you will be considered as other state.
