With a JEE Main rank of 1 Lakh 29 thousand , you have a good chance of getting into some NITs , IITs or GFTIs especially if you belong to a reserved category. For the general category , top NITs might be difficult but you can explore state level engineering colleges and private institutions.

1.You may find seats in some newer or less competitive NITs , IIITs or GFTIs.

2.You can get admission in various state level engineering colleges that offers admissions based on JEE Main scores and you may find a good fit within your state

3.Consider exploring private engineering colleges that accept JEE Main scores. Some of these institutions offer good programs and infrastructure

4.You can use the JoSAA counselling portal so that you can understand your options based on your rank , category and preferred branches.

5.If you are from the same state as the NIT or IIIT you might have a better chance of getting a seat through the home state quota.
