Achieving a JEE Mains percentile of 82.7% gives you a reasonable opportunity to gain admission into mid-tier engineering institutions, particularly if you belong to a reserved category (like SC/ST/OBC/EWS) or are going through a state-level counseling system like REAP (Rajasthan), GUJCET (Gujarat), MHT CET (Maharashtra), or JoSAA for NITs.

Although the highest NITs and IIITs might be unattainable with this percentile in the unreserved category, you can still aim for newer or lower-ranked NITs, IIITs, or GFTIs, especially under home state quotas. Furthermore, numerous private institutions such as VIT, SRM, UPES, Manipal, and Chandigarh University admit students with this percentile via their individual entrance or direct admission methods.
