Greetings Aspirant,

I hope you are doing well. I see that you have scored 290 marks in your neet examination. I'm sorry to tell but with the marks scored even with the reservation the chances are very low for you to get a government seat for BAMS or BDS. Anyways you could get a seat in private colleges through management.

BAMS or Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery is basically an undergraduate degree programme designed to make students familiar with the concepts of Ayurveda and use them for the treatment of patients. BAMS incorporates Ayurveda with the ideas of modern medicines, and students are taught a combination of both as part of the course curriculum.

BDS or Bachelor of Dental Surgery is a 5-years undergraduate program and the only approved professional dental course in India. It is a compulsory course for the students aspiring to work as dentists at government or private hospitals. BDS is one of the most popular medical courses after MBBS in India.

Dear aspirant,

As you mentioned your neet score is 290 and considering you are from obc category still it would be difficult for you to get the tier 1- 2 colleges . So, I would recommend you to kindly go through home state quota and try for some lower streams like bds.

However various factors are considered while deciding the cut offs like number of candidates appearing in the examination, number of vacant seats in college previous years cut offs and difficulty level of the paper.
