Yes I can understand what you're feeling now. But that's only the rank predictor it will not tell you the exact rank. Also, you need to consider many things before comparing to previous year like how many candidates appear for the exam , how many candidates qualify and what was the level of the exam. All such things needs to be considered.
Nobody can tell you the exact rank until the final merit list is out. Everyone will give you the prediction.
I would rather suggest you keep your focus on your study as of now because this is the only time you can out in your hard work. Might happen you can get much better rank in the other exam.

It is possible that your rank may differ from that of previous year with same marks. The percentile is an absolute concept. 97 percentile means that you are ahead of 97percent candidates who appeared for the exam.
The number of candidates you are ahead of depends on the total number and thus your rank also varies with this number. So it might be the case that last year the total number of students appeared is less than this year which led to higher rank in the previous year compared to this year with the same marks.
