It is always good to thoroughly solve the previous year's question papers, however in case of a change of syllabus or pattern as in this case, it is still beneficial to do the same and practise the newly added portions in the syllabus separately. So you should practise comprehension randomly from various websites. If you find that difficult, then try using you school level grammar books (ICSE/ISC books are strongly recommended) such as Wren and Martin, Total English, etc. to help you with the basic idea of comprehension.
