Don't Miss: Best Public Engineering Colleges
Hi Anil,
According to your rank, I think you can try in Civil engineering, Production engineering and Mettalurgical engineering in NIT Trichy only if you are from home state.
In NIT Rourkela, you can easily go for Bio-technology, Ceramic, Chemical and Civil engineering based on previous two years trends.
In NIT Surathkal, you can go for Mettalurgical and Mining engineering.
In NIT Warangal, you can go for Bio-technology and Mettalurgical engineering.
In NIT Calicut, you can go for Bio-tech, Chemical, Civil and Production engineering.
These are top 5 NIT's according to me.
In case of IIIT's,
In IIIT Allahabad, you have a chance in Electronic and Communication engineering and a very good chance in Mechanical engineering.
In IIIT Kancheepuram, you have a good chance in Mechanical engineering.
In IIIT Kurnool, you have a good chance in all three branches as well.
Hope this helps.

Hi Anil Agarwal,
Congratulations on securing that decent rank. Assuming you are general, you have chanes of getting decent branches at MNNIT Jaipur and at MNIT Allahabad like chemical engineering as per last years cutoffs. But it can still vary this year. You can also check last years cutoffs officially on the official website.
Stay positive and happy.
All the best!
First of all congratulations for your godd result. Now with regards to the question I want to mention that yes it is possible for you to gett admission in top 5 NITs as you haven't specifically mentioned the branch in which you are interested, your category and your home state then i could have provided you with more details.
