Hello aspirant,

To get seat for NITs,IIITs or GFTIs through CSAB Special Round the first criteria is that one should be JEE Main qualified as per his/her category. Now for general category, the 2019 JEE Main cutoff was 89.75 percentile. So if you have cleared the required cutoff then you are JEE Main qualified and hence eligible for CSAB Special Round counselling. Now with a rank of 68k, it can be hard for you to get a seat in IIIT through CSAB especially since you are a general category candidate. Better apply for the counselling process and whether do you get your choice of college or not.

You can go through this link and checkout the detailed information regarding CSAB Special Round counselling : https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/csab

Good Luck !!!!

Dear Aspirant,

Congratulations for cracking the JEE main examination.

You mentioned that your general rank is 68000. You are a general category student. Now you are looking for a seat in IIIT in CSAB special round.

According to me, you have a decent chance to get a ECE or IT seat in a new IIIT.

Best of luck.

Hello aspirant,

It is very difficult to get a seat in IIIT with such rank belonging to general category.A candidate can participate in CSAB who were not alloted a seat in any college or withdrawn their seat. The seat allotment will be based on JEE MAINS merit, vacancies availble and choice filling.Do not loose hope  I would suggest you to go for it, if there are vacancies then you will get a seat.Hope for the best.

I hope this is helpful to you.
