The closing rank even for category is given on the basis of GMR/PMR that is General Merit Rank.So suppose you are a general candidate, to get CSE in Jadavpur University the closing rank was (GMR rank 153) in 2017. But if you are a OBC-NCL category the closing rank required was GMR 784(general merit rank not your obc rank) .

Studnets shouldn't worey as while counselling your category rank shall be accepted.

Your OBC A category shall fetch you all the college into WBJEE ljke Jadavpur university, Purulia engineering college, institute of engineering and management.
