My rank is 1072 in VITMEE 2018. IS IT POSSIBLE TO GET ADMISSION IN MTech CSE with specialisation in information security or Big data at Vellore or Chennai campus under category 1?

The answer depends a lot on how you define "worth" and other available options you have.
If you can get an admit from NIT, IIT or BITS for M.tech in you specialisation, then choose them. The next best admit is definitely VIT. There is no better university than VIT that has so dense network with various companies that almost 6000 students from various branches get placed here.
Being a b.tech mechanical engineer, I cannot vouch for the facilities available for your interested specialization in M.tech, but it sure is one of finest when it comes to b.tech CSE.
