A state rank of 13,974 in the SC-B category in NEET puts you in a borderline zone for MBBS admission through state quota. Typically, SC-B students get MBBS seats up to around 10,000–12,000 state rank, depending on the number of seats and the competition in your state.

You might still get a seat in the later rounds, especially if some students withdraw or don’t confirm their seats,you apply in multiple government/ semi-government colleges and aslo you can participate in mop-up rounds and spot counselling.

With a state rank of 13,974 in NEET 2025 under the SC (B) category, your chances of getting an MBBS seat under the Telangana state quota are quite good.

In previous years, government medical colleges in Telangana under the SC category have had closing ranks much higher than 13,974. Some government colleges have closed seats for SC candidates beyond 90,000 to even 1,30,000 ranks in the state list. That means your rank is well within the expected cut-off range.

You may not get the top government colleges in the first round, but you have a strong chance of getting a seat in Phase 1 or Phase 2 counselling in colleges located in districts like Bhadradri Kothagudem, Mahabubabad, Wanaparthy, or Nagarkurnool.
