Haryana State Technical Education Society (HSTES) counseling typically considers the reserved category rank (SC rank) when providing the allotment of seats in that reserved category; for instance, SC reserved category candidates usually will be allotted a seat in the SC category based on their SC rank of 1,36,957, not their CRL (Common Rank List) rank. For example, for general/open category seats, the CRL rank will be considered. It is essential to upload valid category certificates. Please follow the instructions for counseling carefully.

In HSTES counselling, your SC rank (136957) will be considered for admission under the SC category. Your CRL rank will not be used unless you’re applying for general category seats.

In HSTES counselling, only your CRL (Common Rank List) rank is considered, not your SC category rank. So even though your SC rank is 1,36,957, it won’t help in this case because Haryana uses CRL rank for seat allotment in B.Tech admissions. Since your CRL rank is above 14 lakh, it will be very difficult to get a seat through HSTES counselling because the cutoffs usually close much earlier.
