Jossa counselling is conducted for admission to various IITs,National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology, Shibpur [IIEST], Indian Institutes of Information Technology [IIITs or Triple-I-Ts] and a few other technical Institutes funded fully or partially by Central or a State government (Other-GFTIs).

Except IITs all the other institutions take admission through jee main exam. So you can apply for jossa counselling in these institutions on the basis of jee main exam, provided you qualified the exam based on your category mentioned in application form.
