The marks is little less.As per the previous year cutoffs you may get lower ranked NITs such as NITs from North-east,NIT Patna, NIT Hamirpur,etc.You can also apply for state government colleges.You should prefer to take a year drop for the preparations so that he can score good to get good College.So,he should stay motivated and prepare well.
