See I don't think that he will be able to get either of the mentioned courses through JEE main scores as only 30 percent of the seats are filled by this mode and very high percentile is required for core branches. But he has secured quite a descent rank in AEEE. With the mentioned rank it would not be possible to get Computer science and engineering at Coimbatore campus as it is the most common, top choice of AEEE aspirants and closing ranks for which are close to 1.5k. He has brighter chances at Bengaluru campus though to get CSE core or with some specializations.
