As per last year's cutoff, with this rank, using the state quota he can get SVNIT Surat. He can get branches like chemical engg.,and mechanical engineering there but not any other top branch like CSE. He can refer the link for last year's cutoff.

If he is from general category, he might not get top branches in NITs with this rank.
However he can get branches like Civil Engg., Chemical Engg., production engg., and other such branches in NITs like:
