Still if we talk about rankings,
We can not actually say that Chaudhary charan singh University is equivalent to Delhi University.
As per the Country ranking, DU holds position between 5-8 where as Chaudhary charan singh university holds 78th rank.
As per the latest world ranking, DU holds 601-800th position where as Chaudhary Charan singh university holds 3353 rank. Difference is quite clear. DU is known world wide.
Delhi University has maintained its position at the top in the country as per the Centre for World University Ranking (CWUR). It is also among the top 10 Indian public educational institutions/universities and the first among Indian public universities under QS BRICS University Rankings. The h-index of the University touched 157, one of the highest among Indian universities.
