As CSE is a core branch the cutoff of this course is high. According to previous years cutoffs it is difficult for you to get CSE in VIT VELLORE branch as it's cutoffs are around 6000 to 5000. You can get IT branch in VIT VELLORE. 

If you want to pursue CSE then you can get this branch I'm VIT CHENNAI. It is ranked after VELLORE branch. It is also a very good college in studies and placements.

Yes you can get CSE at VIT with this rank.Let me tell you every year there is slightly change in cut off of a college and it varies for stream also.

If you might not get CSE you can opt branch like IT or ECE .

If you want CSE then you can join other VIT campus like VIT chennai and its other campus.
