To become an MBBS doctor through NEET, your marks should ideally be above 600 for a government college, where the fees are much lower, often between 20,000 to 1 lakh per year.

For reserved categories, cutoff marks are slightly lower. If you score less than that, you may get admission in private colleges, but the fees there can be very high, ranging from 10 to 25 lakhs or more. So, if you want to study with lower fees, aim for a high NEET score.

Hello aspirant,

If you are aiming to become an MBBS doctor . But yes, the marks you need in NEET depend on the category and college type. For general category students, govt colleges often require 600+ marks. For reserved categories (OBC/SC/ST), cutoff is slightly lower, around 450–550. Private colleges need 150–450, depending on the state. If you're asking about low-fee options, government colleges are the most affordable. Fees range from 10,000 to 1,00,000 annually, while private MBBS colleges charge 10–25 lakhs for the full course. Consider preparing seriously, with mock tests and NCERT-based revision, to aim for a higher score for affordable education.
