Dear Karthik, as mentioned NEET is a National Level Entrance Examintion for admission to Medical, Dental, Ayush and Veterinary Sciences. Now there is a news that the ruling State Govt. wants to scrap of NEET in Tamilnadu. There are around 59 Medical Colleges accomodating around 2650 Medical Seats. For a momene lets consider NEET has been scraped off in Tamilnadu. There can no more be All India Quota. All the students of Tamilnadu will have to compete for the seats within Tamilnadu. Even if the Govt. adds 10 another colleges and 2000 seats approximately, it no where can compensate the loss for the students. These are the facts that need to be considered before scrapping of NEET by Tamilnadu. Until any official information is released on the same, NEET will continue to be the entrance examination.
