Basically the GAT exam is about Quantitative ability,
Communication ability, and English comprehension,
Analytical and Logical Ability,
General Knowledge and Current Affairs. There's no particular book for this. For general knowledge and current affairs study newspaper regularly. In communication ability and english comprehension, questions from singular, plural, idioms and phrases, correct spellings, synonyms, antonyms, one-word substitutes, words with corresponding meanings, etc. are asked.
Quantitative ability includes fractions, division, percentages, multiplication, addition, rate of interest, distance, ratio and proportion, and work and task.
