Hello,

Here are some tips from careers360 for you to score past 600 in NEET:

Know the complete syllabus

The medical aspirants studying for admission to MBBS/BDS/AYUSH courses must be well aware of NEET syllabus. Despite NTA being the new conducting authority of NEET after replacing the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), there are no changes in NEET syllabus and NEET exam pattern. The syllabus of NEET is being implemented after referring the syllabi of several state boards, CBSE, Council Board of School Education (COBSE) and National Council of Education Research and Training (NCERT).

NEET syllabus covers topics from Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (Botany and Zoology) sections with 45 questions in each section, coming up to a total of 180 questions. The offline entrance examination will be of 720 marks with 4 marks for every correct answer and deduction of 1 mark for an incorrect response.

With the complete syllabus, candidates can make note of important and relevant topics from their Class 12 syllabus. Knowing the NEET syllabus will help aspirants to get aware of their weakest and toughest sections of all, which will assist them in better preparation to crack NEET with 600+ scores.

Make an effective study plan

“A vision without a strategy is an illusion.” - This proverb by Lee Bolman truly signifies that NEET preparations without an effective study plan are aimless. For securing 600+ marks in NEET, aspirants need to make a refined timetable which will help them to divide the NEET syllabus and provide equal time proportion to each subject. NEET timetable should be prepared in a way that candidates can complete the syllabus by November. Following this study plan will maintain proper discipline in the daily routine of the candidate and also brings them near to their aim of cracking NEET with 600+ marks.

How to crack NEET UG 2019 with 600+ marks – Refer the NCERT books

At the beginning of the preparations, NCERT books for Class 11 and 12 will be the most suitable books. As per the subject experts and NEET toppers, most of the questions in the NEET question paper will be based on NCERT concepts of Class 11 and 12. Thus, it becomes mandatory to understand the concepts of each section. Making the short notes will help students in remembering the points they just revised.

Once the NCERT syllabus is completed, then they can refer other best books for NEET preparations. Aiming to crack NEET with 600+ marks with the best-recommended books is a part of the preparation strategy.

Use previous year paper and mock test

Taking the NEET mock test and using NEET previous year question papers is also the best strategy to obtain 600+ scores in NEET. Solving previous year paper and mock test will provide an idea of questions asked in the exam, the structure of the paper and also enhance the time management skills. Once the NEET mock test and question papers are solved, candidates can analyze their preparation strategy.

Revision of topics

NEET syllabus is very vast and requires time to complete it. Once an aspirant completes one chapter, topic or subject, he/she must keep revising it. No matter how good and strong one has prepared, revision is crucial to keep the concept clear and fresh in mind. This will lead to clarifying the confusions during the examination. With the day to day revision of topics in the syllabus, candidates will be less puzzled on the D-day. For better revision of each topic, a minimum of 40-50 multiple choice questions must be solved with a time of one minute for each question.

Hope these tips help you in scoring better and all the very best to you!
