Cut offs for jee mains will depend upon the number of students ( means that they have to qualify nearly 2.2 lakhs students for jee advanced) so cut off will be that where the number of students become 2.2 lakhs.
And it will be percentile based because percentile makes all the shifts equal .

Cutoff will be declared as percentile based and not with the marks.

It will be scaled to percentile because exam on one session may be a little easier than the other.

So for each session that will be scaled to percentile and the cutoff be declared as percentile.
