The basic eligibility criteria to apply for BCECE iscandidate should be class 12thpasswith 45% marks in Science stream (with Physics, Chemistry and Biology). As BCECE is a state level exam therefore only Bihar state candidates can apply for the exam.

For agriculture and medical programs, applicant must be 17 years of age as on December 2018

Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examinationis a state level joint entrance exam for admissions to various UG level in Engineering/Technology, Agricultural and Medical streams in govt. and self-financed institutions in Bihar as well as other states.This is inclusive and applies to all category of students.

The above statement means that only those who have passed the JEE mains exam can try for admission in any college of Bihar for engineering. JEE mains merit list decides the rank of the students by their marks and also through their category. According to that rank, a person becomes eligible for admission in certain colleges of his choice and also with the branch he wants. After that they have to go through counselling and fill their choices on the basis of which they might or might not get the college they want. I tried explaining it as simply as I could.

JEE MAINS is a national level engineering entrance exam conducted by NTA ( national testing agency , till last year it was CBSE) . 

A list is prepared of those students who secured the minimum required marks and this qualifying the exam.
