Btech in ocean engineering is a four year full time undergraduate level degree programme offered by Indian institute of technology,  Kharagpur.

The placements here in this branch are excellent, the rate is almost 100 percent. Last year, highest package offered was 24.5 LPA with a median salary of 11.5 LPA. This branch also experienced recruitment participations from various software companies like accenture, delloitte etc. However, organizations like ONGC also recruit students. They also get placed in shipbuilding companies and oil refineries.
