Hello aspirant
Hope you are doing great there. See , first of all the your JEE mains rank is calculated on the basis of your percentile score obtained in your exam . This percentile score very much depends on varies factors and most importantly the level of difficulty of your shift .There is a huge difference if we compare a rank of candidate belonging to SC category to that of rank of a general category candidate. Let me explain you with the help of an example . Let us assume that a student of general category have scored 200 marks out of 300 in his /her exam . Considering the level of difficulty of the exam to be moderate , his percentile score will be somewhere around 99.5 - 99.58 and his rank CRL rank will lie somewhere around 5115 - 5750 . While in case of an SC category student the percentile will remain same , his CRL rank will also be same but the category rank will be somewhere around 284 - 320 .
In case you still have any query , feel free to ask
I hope you got your answer
Wish you all the very best!
