Hello!

Private Medical colleges that come under the ambit of state run universities and which avail facilities of a government hospital to fulfill their necessity of required beds according to MCI will give a certain percentage of seats to the government. These will be allotted through counselling run by the state authority.

I know only about medical colleges in Karnataka. The Times Group, this is the link to article giving fee structure for this year in Karnataka.

The seats are available to Karnataka domiciles and few other categories like Horanadu Kannadigas etc. Fees is as low as 77000 per annum when taken through this route. Of course this is exclusive of boarding, mess fees, college development fees, library fees, gym fees, union fees and whatever other fees the college management can come up with. This will be significant amount, sometimes more than the 77000 fees collected and will vary from college to college.

lets assume it to be around 1.5 to 2 lacs per annum inclusive of 77,000. Its still far less than 6.32 lacs plus all the other fees that will be collected from COMED and management quota students. The article says that fees in Karnataka even for management quota is lowest, as claimed by managements to the health education minister.

Thus if you can get a seat through the Karnataka merit quota in KMC Mangaluru campus ( they have government Wenlock and Lady Goschen hospital attached, hence will give a few seats to government quota), JJM Medical college, Davangere ( they have CG hospital and WCH, Mandipet attached, its one of the largest government hospitals in Karnataka, the hospitals are what give this college a huge kitty of 245 seats.) are very good and great choice if you can get through the state quota. This is no way a complete list. You will have to dig personally into details of each college and go through seat matrix in detail, as well as enquire on fees structure and hidden fees hat they will collect. Most of these fees, one cant escape from like, some tablet or laptop they will give at exorbitant prices. Enquire on additional expenses you are likely to incur on going to that place. For example, Mangaluru is far more costlier than Davangere. Older the college more established the infrastructure, greater the case load and better teachers you will find there

Hope it will help!!

Dear shivam
The fee structure differs from college to college, state to state and every year management people fluctuate the donations. You need to enquire in personal.

As far as cutoff is concerned you need to get eligiblity through NEET.
All the best

  • Annasaheb chudaman patil memorial college
  • Terna medical college and hospital, Maharashtra
  • ASCOMS, Jammu
These are few of the cheapest colleges in India for MBBS. Your total fee for whole course would be roughly around 25,000.
