The SAT is an internationally recognised standardised test that evaluates a candidate’s knowledge in reading, writing and quantitative aptitude and other specialised subjects. SAT is taken for undergraduate admission in the United States and some other countries. The SAT is offered seven times each year in the US and six times internationally. Candidates can sit for the SAT test in October, November, December, January, March, May and June.

The writing section of SAT comprises two tasks. They are multiple-choice questions and an essay.The multiple-choice questions include sentence corrections where you would be required to select the right answer from a list of given choices. In addition, you will also be given a relevant topic to write an essay on.- SAT Preparation Tips to crack:Grammar: The multiple- choice questions which involves selecting the right answer will mostly test your grammar skills. So, bring out your Wren and Martins and get started with your grammar. Read: Your preparation can never be complete without reading. Since, you will also be asked to write an essay, the best way to prepare for it would be to keep yourself updated with all the recent happenings across the world. This will help you put your point across at the time of writing the essay. Write sample essays: Take a topic and start writing on it.

SAT Preparation Tips: Critical Reading

The Critical reading section has two main tasks. They are sentence completion and reading comprehension. Both the sections test your vocabulary and your skills at analysis.

Brush up your vocabulary: The sentence completion task is similar to your basic fill in the blanks.  So, be updated with the latest vocabulary tips. SAT is taken for undergraduate admission in the United States and some other countries. It assesses how well the test takers analyse and solve problems. It is usually taken by junior and senior high school students and is based on subjects taught in high school programs. SAT test is of two types: SAT Reasoning Test or SAT and SAT Subjects Test. Also, there are no specific eligibility criteria for SAT. Since SAT is taken for admission in colleges, students are advised to take the test when they are in junior or senior high school. There is no specific score or time to take SAT, one can take the test irrespective of any particular SAT test eligibility criteria. In the US,  students take the exam in their junior or senior years of high school (grades 11th or 12th). This means SAT candidates are roughly 17 and 18 years old, however, there is no age limit or other SAT test eligibility requirement.
