GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) has seen a rise in the number of applicants over the recent past, mainly due to the mandating of a valid GATE score by PSU’s. Exam Pattern and Marking Scheme:First is the pattern of exam, this test paper is online with use of virtual calculator there will be 65 questions from which 30 questions will be one mark and rest 35 will be of two marks in total 100 marks. Marks is approximately distributed as 15 marks from general aptitude, 15 marks from engineering mathematics and rest 70 marks from core subjects. Now there will be two types of questions, objective types and numerical answer questions for previous year paper.
