A 77 percentile in JEE Mains roughly means a rank of around 2.5 to 3 lakh (can vary depending on the number of candidates).
If you belong to a reserved category (like SC, ST, OBC-NCL, EWS), you may have better chances in reputed government colleges.
NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs may be hard to get at this percentile if you are from the general category .
However, some lower-ranked GFTIs and home state NITs may be possible if you have a reservation .

If you do not get through counseling, some private colleges also have management quota seats or direct admission based on JEE percentile or class 12 marks.
Register for JoSAA counseling , even if chances are low — sometimes spot rounds surprise you.
Also apply for state counseling and private colleges in parallel.
