• A 77 percentile in JEE Mains roughly means a rank of around 2.5 to 3 lakh (can vary depending on the number of candidates).

• If you belong to a reserved category (like SC, ST, OBC-NCL, EWS), you may have better chances in reputed government colleges.

• NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs may be hard to get at this percentile if you are from the general category .
