Recently, there was a hike in the stipend of Government Medical Colleges of West Bengal provided to MD And MS students. The stipend was increased by almost 4000 to 5000 INR. Earlier the stipend provided was around 38000 in first year. And this used to increase by INR 3000 every year. But as per the new pay commission, usually in First year of the course, you can expect around INR 43,758. This again increases in the second year. In second year the stipend provided to MD students is around INR 47,125. In final year, this again increases by 3000 almost. It is around INR 50,490.
