Hey,

You wil have to provide your EWS certificate at the time of registering for the entrance exam. So definitely you will be needing the certificate. But as far as the next year is concerned you will have to apply for your EWS certificate again as that would be expired till you take admission in the college.

They will inform you in advance about that and will even give you some time to get your certificate reissued. So don't worry about that.

Just another small query, what if I don't belong to the EWS category next year. i.e. I am an EWS candidate while registering for cat but next yr when/ if I get an admit, I am not falling under the EWS criteria (after April next year), will I get an admission or I'll be now considered a general category candidate?

I applied for ews in sep2021 and have the same with Financial year as 2021 - 22 and its written that its valid for FY 2021 - 22 .
