Hello,

See, there is no such restriction of pursuing graduation in specific stream when it comes to appearing for majority of government exams such as UPSC, state PSCs or even banking exams of clerical cadre such as IBPS/SBI/RRB to name a few, you can pursue bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized University, the decision to pursue it through regular mode or distance is completely yours, if you pursue it through a distance mode, and the degree is recognized and valid, it's absolutely fine, if you get an opportunity to pursue your graduation through regular mode, then you should opt for this as it will be comparatively different experience than distance mode, but eventually it's your decision.
