Environmental Science happens to be a branch of science studying the effects of physical, chemical, and biological conditions of the environment and their effect on organisms.

There is a wide scope in private or in the government sector for the environments science degree holders. The field offers a plethora of job opportunities for environmental scientists as well as for environmental biologists, environmental engineers, environmental modellers and environmental journalists after their under graduation. Environmental scientists are employed by most of the mines, fertilizer plants, textile and dying industry, food processing units, etc. One can also be recruited by the Pollution Control Board, Water Authority and Urban Planning.

The minimum salary for a fresher ranges from INR 3 Lakhs per annum - INR 4 Lakhs per annum.
