Hello,
If you've the calibre and intense desire to join iits and nits, then take a year off and do it. No one will care if you took a year off or not; what will count is if you've a iit or nit tag. There are two options available to you. You may either enrol in a private institution or study hard and enrol in a reputable institute, but my dear, come to a decision, believe in yourself, and do it man. If you're dropping out, forget about social media for the next coming months and stop worrying about things like what will my rank be there with such and such marks, which university will I get, and so on.
If you believe you can, you should drop the year, in my opinion. And as for the schedule, let me tell you from my own experience, study smartly and don't try to cover the entire syllabus because memorising all the formulas for the entire course won't help you; what will help you is the number of questions you practise daily, and as you know, even if you prepare 11th class syllabi chapters of high weightage, you will able to answer a huge portion
Just concentrate on your studies and subject and you can come out of flying colours. And never ever get overstressed. So be planned before taking up any challenge.
Hope it helped
All the best!!
