Dear Aspirant,

If you are in 12th and you have not prepared for JEE seriously in the past two years, then you can not get a college this year, and you want to do engineering from some good NIT/IIT, then the only option left for you is to drop.

It is a good idea to take a drop and prepare for JEE rather than taking admission in some tier 3-4 college.

Do take a drop and prepare religiously this time.

Hope this helps. Thanks.

Hello.
If your passion is in engineering and in first attempt you got less marks and still you want to give JEE mains again then you should definitely drop but remember you need to drop only when you feel that you can clear it in next attempt because sometime people think that and but be unable to  do this, I hope you will get it.
Best of luck.
