There is an entrance exam in Delhi University for Btech course. The course is 'B.Tech. Programme in Information Technology & Mathematical Innovations.' The admission is based on a written MCQ based entrance test and to be eligible for this test you need minimum 60% in any four subjects (including mathematics).

So yes the entrance exam is required for admission.
