Yes, Gaurav if you have an interest in the HR course then you can definitely go for it. There is no problem regarding the difference between the type of work experience you had and the stream in which you want to pursue your MBA specialization. I have a very close friend who did minor in HR from TAPMI and has passed this year only in March 2018, so from her I know there is a very good scope of HR Major in TAPMI. Many companies especially come for HR role in the final placement. Some of the IT companies also opens up there for HR role which will give you an extra edge as you have 1.5 years work experience in an IT consulting company. Even my friend did an internship in an IT consulting company under the HR domain.

So, in short, Gaurav, if you really have interest then don't worry about it and join TAPMI which is a good college in terms of studies, placement and discipline (Very Very hard discipline rules and culture in comparison to other b-schools)
