Actually taking drop is not good thing .which possibly do 2 things ,first you will 1waste and if you not selected then its you not selected is too .so according to me you should not drop 

If you planning then go kota ,give your % and believe youself that you can do it.

Is there something like if one does not clear mains in 1st attempt then the coaching does not allow he/she to study for advanced  and urges to only focus on main?

No there Is no problems for he/she .Every coaching will focus there students to qualify every exam .So this type of criteria is not there.you can easily get addmission in any coaching.
