Hi Palak Kumari! your institute tag decide your future career, I have experienced this in personal. So please opt for NIT - Civil Engineering. But the job scope for civil is low, please learn some of the CSE programming course like C, C++, Java, Python, Javascript, .Net, etc. Please learn atleast 4 of the above courses during your college days. This might help you in figuring out the great future. At last I repeat please opt for NIT, skill sets and institute tag is most important than anything. Please don't go behind private institutes .

Hey aspirant,

I wouldn't be able to suggest you with which branch you should go for. As,this is a really important decision amongst the students. You should only go with that branch in which you feel you are more comfortable and interested. It's but obvious that you wouldn't want to waste your 4 years of life in studying something in which you are not at all interested.

Now,talking about both the branches then CS is all about computer subjects, codings, programmings etc.whereas civil refers to architecture and designing. Both the branches are totally different so,choose only that in which you are interested.

Now, placement and job is also inter connected with your interested subject.Like,if you are Interested in your subjects then you'll do the best out of it.but if you go for something in which you aren't fond then it might affect your capability of doing the best and will also effect your placements.

And the last is,I would tell you that in companies or jobs I guess it doesn't matters that if you are from an Nit or a private one.the thing which matters is your knowledge and skills and confidence.

Hope it helps.

Good luck.
